From Pain to Peace

Feedback is important

Here is some feedback from participants about how the From Pain to Peace course has impacted their life, work /and or relationships.

I think the new understandings I have about my body, heart and mind will change my life.  It is the best course I have ever done!
AS, Dec 2024

The course has supported me during recovery from a long illness, reconnected me with meditation practice, shifted my attitude towards my health from being unwell to recovery and increased my sense of hopefulness.
Vicki P, Dec 2024

I am more present and better educated on neuroplastic pain - this has allowed me to go out into the world with alot less fear. I am able to now form a new identity, shifting from a pain sufferer to a human (who does experience discomfort from time to time)! And I wouldn't want it any other way.
It has been a huge privilege to access this course, and de-bunk some prominent belief systems about pain. I am interested in making this a lifelong practice and not just a "quick fix" approach.
Dec, 2024

My level of fear, despair, negative self-talk and distress has significantly reduced in the past 8 weeks of taking this course. I am better able to recognise signals of danger and reorient myself towards safety. I feel better equipped to face the health challenges in my life right now.

It has opened my awareness to thought patterns and brain activity. It has included so many wonderful ways to approach recovery , especially being kind and patient with the journey whilst knowing that it's also OK to notice thought patterns and question them . It has had a positive impact on my life.
JC Dec, 24

The course has definitely impacted on my sense of hope in being able to manage the chronic pain I suffer. For me, the key construct in this course that has had most influence on me is that of "Hurt but no harm". The holistic approach to this concept has been very thorough in the manner in which it has been taught: both from a cognitive/educational perspective (the science of chronic pain) as well the experiential/in the body practices. I feel calmer about my "disability", feel a toning down of the level of pain for some of the time and have completed the course with many strategies to call upon. I hope I can stay on this path!
Ros, Dec 24

While I didn't expect the course would relieve my sometimes debilitating arthritic and nerve pain, I was proven very wrong, in the best possible way. I feel so much better compared with how I felt at the beginning. I learned a new way of thinking about pain, how to self-soothe and listen to my body. The various meditation and movement practices have given me tools to use in daily life. I recommend this course to any sufferers of long term chronic pain who are wiling to go on a new adventure.
Deb, Sept 2024

Pain to Peace is an absolute gem, I'd definitely recommend the course. Its well-balanced content would have something for anyone, regardless of where they are in their understanding of pain.
Ivan, Sept 2024

The mix of pain science and mindfulness was the biggest impact. Before starting the course if the breakthrough pain was increasing I would turn fairly quickly to pain medication to relieve the pain.  Now I notice I’m in pain but no longer go straight to the medication. I allow the pain to just be there just sitting with it for a while letting myself feel it rather than run from it. Letting myself do the meditation without turning to pain meds first, didn’t happen all the time but it did happen. When I did meditate in pain there was a small just noticeable lowering in the sensations.
Sammy, Sept 2024

There has definitely been a change and I’m completely off of any pain medication as I can override it with meditation and calming myself down. Nights can be challenging but I’m happy with where I’m at with this. I certainly now believe my pain can be reduced by mindfulness which has motivated me to stay engaged with these practices - which is not what I thought before doing this course!
Rob, Sept 24

It was an absolute delight to participate, it gave me empowerment to take care of myself and my pain.
