Workplace safety, and resilience

Helping employees navigate stressful situations, reduce
workplace accidents to prevent burnout and enhance wellbeing.

"When mindfulness is fully integrated into leadership,
exponential progress can be made."

Michael Bunting, author of The Mindful Leader

Anyone working in this fast-paced world of high workloads and demanding deadlines can be prone to occupational stress and burnout which harms work performance and physical/mental wellbeing. Left unattended to, burnout can lead to clinical anxiety, depression, and addictions. Burnout is not your fault; it is not something that an individual person should have to solve alone because so often it has systemic causes.

Evidence-based mindfulness-based interventions offer an empowering way to protect against "stress" becoming clinical anxiety and depression by enhancing a sense of self-compassion and agency, increasing emotional literacy to improve work relationships, and boosting overall job and life satisfaction

Employees report:
  • Less emotional exhaustion
  • Reduction in rumination
  • More compassion for self and others
  • Decreased self-judgement and over-identification with experience
  •  Enhancement of interpersonal communication skills
  • Increased sense of accomplishment and motivation
  • Improved emotional regulation
Targeted programs

As an organisation incorporating mindfulness programs into your organisation's health initiatives can be a cost-effective way to support psychological resilience and mental health. We help employees navigate stressful situations, process vicarious trauma, reduce workplace accidents, prevent burnout and enhance overall well-being.

Growing a more respectful and empathic work culture leading to a safer environment with less conflicts, bullying, accidents, and complaints. We can tailor programs to fit in with your needs and constraints of time and investment.

Frontline workers

For those working in perceived and actual "threatening" situations regularly, such as police, fire-fighters, para-medics, medical and other health care staff, armed services personnel and veterans and their families, corrective services and detention-centre personnel.

“My mindset has shifted, I have more energy and I'm more decisive. I feel I am capable of handling setbacks and…I am less reactive, and this has helped reduce my stress levels and allowed me the space to pause before I communicate with others. My ability to set boundaries has improved; I make choices instead of assuming I 'have' to do certain things.”

Targeted programs to prevent and process vicarious trauma

Some workplaces are dealing with very difficult human problems and necessarily expose their people to traumatic experiences: workers dealing with all kinds of traumatic material through legal and auditing processing (for example Royal Commissions into institutional child abuse, aged care facilities, deaths in custody)

How to make it happen?

There are several ways to incorporate mindfulness training for workplace resilience and safety:

  • Offer a mindfulness program for your team – in-house or off-site
  • Make places available for your staff in a general program that is available many times a year Australia-wide for people wanting to take action for their own mental health and resilience.
