"Trauma is a fact of life. It does not however, have to be a life sentence."

Trauma disrupts our attention, so that we are constantly on alert for danger or withdrawing and shutting down to avoid overwhelm. This disrupts our relationships, our work and our enjoyment of ordinary things. Mindfulness can offer you a vital new pathway for feeling safe in your own skin. This is the starting point for building a sense of "home base" inside yourself and connection with the world again. Come and join us. It can make a difference. Learn more about the nervous system via this informative video.
You will be supported by the relationship with the teacher and by the group. And there is no need to share your trauma story or history. You will be creating the changes through the privacy of your own mindfulness practice. And the teacher is there to help you nut out what practices give you more calmness, non-reactivity and clarity. The course is engaging and demanding - in a good way! This course is designed to complement what you are already doing (therapy and support). It will provide you with some immediate, valuable tools to start living with more freedom and ease.
