Climate Update from Climate for Change
Welcome to Climate for Change's climate update! They have compiled some of the most important climate news and inspiration, told in five parts, to help you join the dots and understand the full story of climate change.
At the end of this update are always a number of climate actions you can take. If you don’t have time to do them straight away, Climate for Change suggest taking a moment now to put time in you diary over the weekend to action them.
It’s with a heavy heart I write this Update. We’ve all seen images and videos of the bushfire crisis, and sadly we’re not out of the woods yet – authorities fear there are months left in this fire season. Please use this fortnight’s Update to stay informed, to reflect on the damage done and the sacrifices made, and to find positive actions you can take right now. We need to rally behind the Australians still suffering, to listen to their stories and take steps to ensure this crisis doesn’t repeat itself next summer. And most of all, we need to support our amazing emergency services, many of whom have been working without a break since before Christmas.
Mindfulness meditation not only changes the way we relate to thoughts and emotions on an individual basis; it has the capacity to change the way we relate to abstract values on a spreadsheet and revolutionise the way things are done.
