Elizabeth Granger - Director

Elizabeth (Libba) Granger - Mindfulness teacher and director Openground for Organisations - Sydney

Elizabeth is a qualified trainer in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and has taught MBSR for many years to members of the public as well as providing more tailored mindfulness programs to a range of different organisations.   

Prior to that, Elizabeth worked as a litigation lawyer for 14 years, including at partnership level during that period. Consequently she has an intimate understanding of the pressures, issues and culture of the corporate world. Her understanding of people and change has been enhanced by in-depth training in psychotherapy– which she offers in private practice.  Given her corporate background, Elizabeth has been passionate about bringing mindfulness into organisations and is strongly committed to helping people develop ways of incorporating mindfulness in their lives so as to maximise their full potential. She continues to be inspired by the changes that people make enhancing their own wellbeing and supporting ongoing personal growth and brings to all her teaching a very down to earth and pragmatic approach, delivered with much warmth and a healthy dose of humour!.

She practices in the Insight tradition - and loves surfing and wrangling her three delightful children.

Timothea Goddard - Director

Timothea Goddard - Mindfulness and Internal Family Systems Teacher - SydneyTimothea Goddard is recognised as a pioneer in bringing mindfulness interventions to Australia over the past 11 years. She was the first person in Australia to complete the training and be accredited with the world renowned contemporary secular mindfulness work of Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Centre for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre (USA) and maintains strong professional links there. She is passionate about pedagogy – the art of teaching and learning - and brings great curiosity and rigour to her teaching and training.

She is an exceptional group facilitator and change agent within groups and organisations having broad experience as a psychotherapist, supervisor, educator and workplace trainer over the past 30 years.

She a founding Director of the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia and in this capacity is driving excellence in the training of mindfulness teachers and trainers in the Asia-Pacific region. She is an active member of the global network of teacher training organisations working towards international agreement on pathways, standards and certification protocols.

She is a long time student of yoga, Aikido and meditation and practises in the Insight tradition.  She swims in the ocean every morning, practices yoga like a maniac, and loves food, people and straight-talking.

Pamela Lovell

Pamela Lovell - mindfulness teacher - HobartAs an Organisational Development consultant and coach for over 20 years, Pamela Lovell has designed and delivered countless leadership development programs focusing primarily on the inner work of leaders and teams. Pamela’s interest in teaching MBSR came through understanding mindfulness as ‘applied emotional intelligence’.

Pamela is an accredited MBSR teacher with the Center for Mindfulness and has been teaching public courses since 2007. In addition to public courses, Pamela has taught Mindfulness at Work courses in a variety of settings including education, health care, local government and the public service and teaches MBSR to individuals in a coaching setting. In 2015, Pamela partnered with UTAS Menzies Research Centre teaching Mindfulness at Work for a study with significantly favourable results.  

Originally from the USA, Pamela has lived in Hobart Tasmania for over 20 years. She lives by the sea, loves High Intensity Interval Training and practices in the Insight tradition. 

Heather Albrecht

Heather Albrecht - mindfulness teacher - sunshine coastHeather has had the privilege of training with the fathers of ‘Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction’ (MBSR), Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD and Saki Santorelli PhD in the US and has trained extensively with Timothea Goddard and the Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia. She teaches public MBSR programs as well as tailored mindfulness programs in the corporate sector. She is a practicing mindfulness-based psychotherapist in private practice

She has held senior management and partnership positions in marketing and advertising agencies for over 30 years in Toronto, New York and Sydney. The last 10 years in corporate training roles with recent cli­ents including CBA, Coke, Nestle and many of the major advertising and media agencies. She has led trainings in Australia, Asia and North America and taught in the Masters of Marketing program at UNSW.

Her business career has ridden alongside a deep interest in Self-Knowledge, which has taken her to ashrams in India, meditation retreats in Asia and the transpersonal schools of North America. 

She understands the realities and practicalities of practicing mindfulness in daily life and has a personal mindfulness practice that has deepened significantly over the decades, supporting her in flourishing in these uncertain times.

Rob Bentley

Rob Bentley - mindfulness teacher - W.ARob is a business coach who incorporates a mindfulness approach into his coaching and conducts Mindfulness at Work programs for teams of people in various businesses throughout Australia and Singapore. Following a successful military and corporate career and running a small business since 1999, Rob has studied at Harvard Business School and also developed the Acuity Leadership Program in 2007.  

Rob has been practising mindfulness since attending an MBSR course in 2007. Since that time he has attended various silent retreats, and trained with Openground and the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia. Rob brings a great deal of warmth and humour into the courses, and is excellent at empowering people to practice and to really open up to their available choices in life. 

Robert is a former member of the Special Air Service Regiment (SAS) of the Australian Army. He has an interest in applying MBSR to post traumatic stress sufferers from his former Regiment, a notion that he hopes to bring to fruition in 2017.

Steve Pozel

Steve has worked with hundreds of the world’s leading innovators and creative minds over the last three decades. It has been the foundation to his research focusing on how to foster the skills and mindset needed for realising a developed culture of innovation and creativity in Australia. His work in design thinking, mindful leadership and innovation has been the catalyst to consult to a broad range of industries - from banking and telecommunications to healthcare and property development. Steve has also been a course lecturer in leadership and communication strategy at the University of NSW, UTS and the Banff School of Management, Canada. 

Steve has cultivated his own mindfulness practice over the last decade and completed his teacher training over the last few years, which builds on his ongoing exploration of yoga that began some 20 years ago after his move from Canada to Australia. Since 2016, Steve has been teaching Understanding Mindfulness through The School of Life, Sydney in both their public and corporate programs. He has also worked with major creative organisations such as the Art Gallery of New South Wales (Art in Mind) in programs that encourage a greater depth of awareness to what we see and what we hear through mindfulness.
