Mindfulness in Medicine and Psychology: a first hand taste for GPs

Openground offers a one-day workshop for GP's in the principles and practice of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

In this workshop you will have an opportunity to learn this effective stress reduction practice and to apply it in their own life and work setting. You will also learn about the effectiveness of MBSR for your patients - for a range of difficult to treat chronic physical and psychological problems including anxiety, depression, stress related illness, chronic pain and illness. Special attention will be given to MBCT (depression relapse prevention).

This Active Learning Module has been approved by the RACGP QA&CPD Program.
