Positive Neuroplasticity Training with Dr Rick Hanson - 2018 Australia Tour

This program is designed specifically for professionals such as counsellors, therapists, psychologists, and coaches, among others who wish to start integrating PNT into their individual work contexts. We will engage with the material using experiential exercises, practice with each other, presentations, discussion, home practice, and readings.

In the initial PNT 3 day workshop you will be learning about and practicing how to transform positive experiences into lasting states and traits. The workshop will be engaging, inspiring and practical. As well as being motivated by succinct and relevant scientific information, you will get tools and processes that you can immediately use. We will engage with the material using experiential exercises, presentations, discussion, home practice, and readings.

Research has shown that people who completed the PNT (Taking in the Good) Course experienced significantly less anxiety and depression, and significantly greater self-control, savoring, compassion, love, contentment, joy, gratitude, self-esteem, self-compassion, satisfaction with life, and overall happiness.

Following the PNT 3 day workshop is another 3 intensive days of application and practice in the large group and small groups.

Since doing your course (Living with Wisdom and Compassion) my major transformation has been in my daily work as a family doctor. Instead of being the best doctor I can so that patients will admire me and appreciate me I am aware that I am regularly “putting myself in my patients shoes.” I want their lives to be better and their suffering to diminish. It was great to be able to explore the strength of compassion, both internally and externally, through Living with Wisdom and Compassion. This course builds on what MBSR began. While it had its challenging moments, I came away from it feeling stress-relief thanks to my heart softening yet strengthening. And from the ability to see that even though we are all unique individuals, and we may express ourselves in wildly different ways, we all have the same needs. The better I can get at understanding those needs the more effective I can be in helping myself and others. I highly recommend this course to everyone.
