SUE HAYS
MSc, MClinPsych, MAPS, Member Australian Pain Society, Member Australian Society for Traumatic Stress Studies
Sue is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice who has worked in a variety of mental health and rehabilitation settings over the past twenty years. She became interested in meditation over a decade ago when her partner was diagnosed with a life threatening illness. More recently she has begun to apply mindfulness in her clinical practice and has seen its benefits in her work with patients with persistent pain and also those suffering from traumatic stress, depression and anxiety. Last year she attended a training course in the USA led by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and hopes to continue with that training programme. Sue runs the Canberra branch of Openground Training and Consultancy.
