Insight Meditation Retreat

With Bob Stahl and Florence Meleo-Meyer

This Retreat is now full. You can be placed on a waiting list by emailing Openground

January 3 – 7, 2012
Hartzer Park, Southern Highlands (1.5 hours south of Sydney)

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don't go back to sleep.

--Rumi (translated by Coleman Barks)

You are welcome to join us for an insight meditation retreat in early January, south of Sydney. There will be opportunity for periods of silent sitting and walking practice, yoga, group and individual interviews with the teachers and walking in nature.

Accommodation and food
Accommodation is in single rooms with shared bathrooms, bedding supplied. Catering will be by Lucinda’s Fine Food Café in Bowral.

Transport
On the registration form you will be asked if you can offer a lift to Hartzer Park or whether you need one. We will endeavor to match you up with someone who can offer a lift. As there will be quite a few people travelling from interstate, we may need to hire a bus, which will attract an additional fee. If you are travelling from interstate, please arrange your flights so that you arrive at the Sydney Airport no later than 2.30 pm on Tuesday, 3rd January.

Cost
$495 for accommodation, food and a contribution to admin, teacher’s travel, PLUS dana for the teachings.
(In the Buddhist tradition, teachers offer the teachings freely and you are invited to give to support their ongoing capacity to do this for our communities.)
